"I did not demand tho books but simply asked Mr. Hobart to let me have tho assessment; rolU In tho even ing so that I could put on a night force to work, making the two copies, and for this purposo Mr. Uobart agreed to let mc have his books. This will enable mc to complete the assess ment rolls In time, so as to Imvo one copy ready for tho state board of equalization.
