Ono of the most mysterious and seusatioual af fairs that lias startled the country in years was made public by the arrest of Miss Jeunlo Tabor, of Hudson, Mich. Twenty dynamite cartridges were found lu the top of tho parlor organ at the Tabor homestead,three miles northwest of Hudson. There was troublo over tho property among members of the family, and the sus picion of tho younger brother being aroused, he instituted a search, which resulted in tlie sensational discovery. Tho Tabor family Is one of tho best known and wealthiest lu the state. A year ago it consisted of Henry Ta bor, his wife and thiee children, J obIo, Jennie and Harry. Joaio is now Mrs. J. II. Elmore and lives In Hud sou. Jennie, although somiiwhat ecceutrlo, has moved in tho best so oloty and has lueu luiu-h sought af ter. JarKSON. Mich., Aug. 17. Wil liam Cuddy, a contractor, of tho firm of Phillips & CuJdy, at tho AiichI au siuto prison, in this city, was killed at that I: itltutlon by a life convlft name I Henry Blach man, who is doing time for murder ing I1I9 wife and family. Cuddy was sitting at his desk in the broom shop writing, when Blaokmau crept behind him and kuocked him In tho head with a hammer. No one was lu the room at the time. Cud dy was discovered by the guard in an unconscious condition, and the blood streaming from a frightful wound In ills head. He died with in nil hour. BlhC'tmau was at once taken to ilia cell, and practically confessed the crime. It is said that last week this same convict assault ed Cuddy, but did not Inflict serious lujurlis upon him. Ho was flogged in a thoruuah mauntr by tho prison officials, and then swore he would kill Cuddy. Ho was allowed to go back to the broom shop, however. A convict, friendly to Cuddy, in formed that gentleman that Black mail had it in for him. Cuddy did not take tho matter at all seriously, simply saying: "Oh, I guesi not." Tbo broom contracts of Phillips & Cuddy expired Monday and Cuddy wan about to retire. Last Wed uesday night the residence of Juan San Cipriau, a wealthy citizen of Mexcoac, was attacked by about 20 ban ilts, under the leadership of the uotoi lous desperado, Alejaudro Mo jero. Honor San Cipiiau and hit servants made a brave and success ful stund against tiio robbers, kill ing ono of them and seriouslj wounding two others. The firing routed the police, aud the remain ing bandits fled. Last uigbt the made an attack upon the residence of IJuiique Acosta, a wealthy man ufacturer, who has a beautiful honit on the edge of this suburb. Senoi Acosta was absent from home, and Mojero and his men, after terroris ing tho family, loaded down theh hordes with costly jewelry and whatever other things of value thei could carry.
