A CARRIER'S HARDSHIPS. Crawls Twolvo Miles on Hia Hands and Knees. Cur.YKNNn, Wyo., May 4. An Interesting story comes from John son county. During the entire win ter Coutrictor Samuel Stringer has been unable to carry the mail across the Rig Horn mountains from Buf falo to Ten Sleep. In the belief that the summer season was sufllcieutly advauced to allow the trip to be made, he started from Buftalo on a strong saddle horse, and with four mules packed with mail pouches. Re-a lug three days at his ranch und mak ing a new snowshoe, Stringer re turned to the station for the aban doned stock and mail, and in a week went through to Ten Sleep. He has just returned to Bulhilo. The Masons wore about to send a search party after Stringer, when tho war broke out and tbo plucky mail carrier was left to shift for himself.
