President Frilzgerald, Want's All Lo

St. Louis, Apill ll). The mem
bers of tho national league of tlio
United States are here in response
toacallof President Fitzgerald to
fix the date for tho next national
convention of the league'ntid which
was postponed last fall as a result of
the division in the ranks by the
Crouin murder, and also to transact
other important business connected
with tho organization. In his ad
dress to the numbers throughout
the country, President Fitzgerald
says:
"A general election in Great Bri
tian is impending. With us arc
marshalled the liberal hosts of Eng
land, Wales and Scotland, led by
the Grand Old Man, whose marvel
ous vigor is s'staiu.'d by the in
spired consciousness of coming
victory. Paruell, the sagacious nnd
unswerving leader, maintains unas
sailable his toucli on the minds and
hearts of our devoted people. Sac
rlfices will be demanded of them
and to meet this supreme emer
gency so as to preserve and even
strengthen the integrity of Irish
representation in tho British parli
ment. Two years at the most and
possibly two months, will bring us
face to faeo with this crisis. In this
last ordeal that your patriotism
may he called upon to undergo, we,
ourselves, the liberal masses of Great
Britain and die people of Ireland,
confidently rely upon you. There
fore, we entreat you, as honest,
loyal, supporters of the cause of
Ireland, eschewing all local issues,
Ignoring all distinctions of Ameri
can national politics to rally in your
integrity and associate ih your
might and again givo us practical
evidence of your devotion to the
dear old land."
It is said that subscriptions to the
league funds which fell off materi
ally after tho Cronin murder, are
coming in again in numbers nud
amounts that indicate renewed in
terest in tho cause.

know just what style or size of

X Merchant' WIfo tho Ilono of Conten
tionA Denunciation.
A well known merchant who has Ixjcii
greatly benefitted by Joy's Vcsetablo Sarsa
parllla, desired to t'ivo jt to his wife, wlw
was very delicate, bat out of caution nn.t
consulted bin physician, Dr. W. II. Grlswold
of 813 Market street. Tho doctor, who is one
of our lcadlns practitioners objected, sayln;
he had never seen n tnrsa;arll)a that did not
contain potash, which thtnnod tho blood;
that his patient did not havo any vitality to
lose, and that what delicate peoplo need is
not decreased vitality, but more blood. He
howovcr consented when nssured that Joy'
Vegetable Sarsaparllla was opposed to the
blood thinulu? idea of other tarsaparlllas,
and that on the contrary by specific vecta
bio alteratives It promoted dljestlon, and re
paired nutrition, henco created new blood
and was tho very tiling for fccblo people.
Tho abovo explains tho many rases In which
ajed, delicate aud run down jcop!c, havo
been built up by Joy's Vegetable SairapnrllU
after tho potash farsaparlllas failed. Its ef
