The average members were probably n little beyond middle life, as the vet erans who helped orgnnlze the re publican party and who fought out its policies lu war and peace are still a powerful factor of its organization. The numbcrof active young farmers nnd business men is also very lurge. A more vigorous und square-shoiil dered crowd of solid citizens it would be dlfllcult to assemble. There arc representatives of every clement of our county's population, viid members of every religious belief except Mormons nre here found mingling in this council of republicanism. There could not be chosen a more complete set of men of every walk of life ami this convention can be truly s.iid to be representative of the maples of ihe people of this county.
