A Boston woman wrote to the
Mayor of a new town in Wyoming,
asking him for information regard-4
ing the state of society in bis town,
as she contemplated going there for '
the benefit of the health of her ,
children. On receiving his reply
(the concluded to remain in Boston
for a while longer. The Mayor
wrete:
"As for aowciety, it is bang up.
This is a mlty inorvel town, consid
ering that there's sixty-uLie saloons
to a popy'atiou of 2000. But every
buloou has a sign up say lug: 'All

Two men has been killed since Mon
day and to-morrow is Wednesday.

There has been a wonderful dis
covery made in Latham county,
Idaho. At on elevation of two thou
sand feet above sea level, on the
homestead of George Wilker, atten
tion was attracted by a cold current
of air rushing ."rom the earth's sur
face. Beneath a moss bed, three or
four iuches deep, investigation dis
closed an ice vein four inches thick.
Furtlier investigation disclosed al
ternate layers of ice aud gravel.
Tho discovery is puzzling to the
people in that neighborhood, and
manv think it is the remains of
what was once large glaciers.
