mica Is ofted deeply ribbed or i-orru-
gated parallel to the adjacent-edses of
the crystal, so as to give the appear
ance of -the letter A (or rather V)
whence It is ternied "A-mlca." As I lie
ribbed portion has to be cut away in,
the sheet, such mica Is unprofitable, .
