Little League Tryouts In May Try-outs for Little League Baseball have been sche duled for the first week in May at South Park. Young sters 12 years old will try out on Monday, May 2; Age JI on May 3; Age 10 on May 4 and those 9 and 8 wiH compete on May 5. Teams will be picked May 9 and 10. with one major league team, two minor league and two pee-wee teams to be formed, accord ing to John Messick. Sign-up sheets may be picked up at the elementary school, and must be signed by the parents before player can try out. John Messick. Sponsor's Night We had our Sponsors Night this week and had a terrific time. Trophies were won by Bernie Pollard, sponsor of P & H Butchering and Wilma Short, sponsor of Arrowhead Motel. A special award was presented at this time. This award is for the term that shows the most sportsmanship and con geniality on our league. This plaque was awarded to the Olympic Team.
