GOL Game To Vale
The Nyssa Bulldogs lost
their first Greater Oregon
League game to the Vale
Vikings Friday night on the
Vale court, 57-46.
Close for most of three
quarters, the Bulldogs took a
29-28 lead late in the third
quarter. Vale went into a full
court press and scored 10
points in the final two
minutes of that quarter, and
that was the ball game.
Nyssa had three players in
double figures, with Dirk
Sappe high for both teams.
Alberto Escobedo followed
with 14 and Ernie Delgado
had 11. Vale’s scoring was
more balanced with Maupin
and Mooney leading with 12
each.
This week's games find the
Bulldogs entertaining the
Grant Union Prospectors at
the TVCC gym Friday night,
and they will journey to
Burns for a Saturday night
game.
