Mr. and Mrs. Woody Wyerman and children were New Years dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Topiiff. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Topiiff spent New Years eve with Mr. and Mrs. Don Lytle at Nampa. Thursday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Topiiff visited Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Sprague Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Flanders of Portland spent the New Years weekend with his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Flanders and family. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Cham berlain and son Jed attended a birthday party for Paula Chamberlain on her first birthday New Years eve, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clint Chamberlain. Other guests attending were Mr. and Mrs. Tunis Garner, Jinny and Tommy Danielson and Yolanda Gonzales of Homedale. Birthday cake and ice cream was enjoyed by all. Mr. and Mrs Bill Webb were New Years dinner guests of Mrs. Margarete Payne and Pauline King in Ontario. All of Pauline's family were there. They were Jim and Laura King of Ontario; Norma King of Jackson Hole, Wyo.; Ann Welty and children; T.R. and Alyce Welty of St. Helens, Oregon. Donna and Melanie Webb of Adrian were Tuesday evening visitors in the Bill Webb home. Christmas dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Webb were Mrs. Margarete Payne and Pauline and Norma King. Mr and Mrs. W. C. Van DeWater and son Kent of Caldwell; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Begeman and Mrs. Edna Cowling of Adrian were New Years dinner guests of Mrs. Dale Witt Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hirsch of Boise were New Years dinner guests and overnight guests of his parente, Mr. and Mrs. Vera Hirsch Mr. and Mrs. Ray Simpson spent a week visiting their son. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Simpson at Portland and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Holdt and family at Camis, Washington. They had no snow but had rain. On their return trip they hit snow at Little Valley and on to Vale. They were there over Christmas and returned home on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Simpson Mr and Mrs. Gene Simpson. Mr. and Mrs. Darryl Simpson and son and Mrs. Alfred Simpson and son John spent New Years with Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Eason and Jon Jon in Boise. Don Linville and Mr and Mrs. Billy Linville left for Tennessee. Sunday morning where they will spend two weeks visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Kriegh spent a few days last week visiting relatives in Buhl. Idaho. Jim Kirsch of Scio and Ron Kirsch and son Dave of Hills boro, came the day after Christmas to the Herb Wenke home and returned to their home on New Years Day. Mr. and Mrs. Gale Martin and family of Adrian were New Years eve guests of Mr. and Mrs. Herb Wenke. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Spen cer and family left on New Years day for their home in Heyburn. Idaho after spend- a week visiting her mother, Mrs. Frankie Worden. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Smith and Jeffrey were New Years dinner guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Call. Mrs. Ida Fenn. Mrs. Edith Fenn and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Doughtery were New Years dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Walker. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Sprague were New Years eve guests of her brother, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Jones in Emmett. They went with them to their Dance Club party in Sweet at the Grange Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Schutte were Christmas day dinner guests of Pastor and Mrs. Hushagen in Nampa. The high ways are clogged and slippery, schools closed, va cations extended, and kids are exhuberantly getting out sleds and blowing up inner- tubes for sliding. George is out on his tractor making big tracks so the mail carrier can get through. So beautiful out, our ever greens plum med and snow painted. To the rear all the black locusts are outlined in stark, white splendor. About time to take down all the Christmas cards taped all over my kitchen cupboards. All other signs of “the season” have been put away, but with the outdoors looking all that inappropriate. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Evans had ten days of Christmas, with company coming and going, and a large crowd there for the Day itself. From Kerman. California came Mr. and Mrs. Arion Schubert and family. Mike Whale came from John Day, and Mrs. Pauline Caims and Mr. and Mrs. Kent Cronk from Boise. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Ziegler and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Russell and family, and Miss Janice Evans, ail of Nu Acres, were there. From Hazelton came Mr. and Mrs. Terry Stigile and family, and from American Falls came Mr. and Mrs. Roy Evans. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Cairns came over from Hermiston. The Rev. Karl Evans and children of John Day came over just for Christmas. Mrs. Carl Evans had been hit by a car the Monday before Christ» mas and hospitalized, badly injured. Margaret Evans said she has been recovering amazingly fast and will be able to be moved to their new home in Cottage Grove when the family goes there to live on January 17. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Sutton and family spent New Years eve with Mr. and Mrs. Dave Weaver and family in their home. Last week, the Sherman Kecks were visited by his brother and family from Osburn, Idaho. They are Mr. and Mrs. Ray Keck and their children, Mark and Melody. Also visiting that day was Mrs. A. H. Keck of Nyssa. Mrs. Armine Hartman and son Jim receotly attended a 25th anniversary wedding reception for Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Perecz of Parma. Sunday, she and Jim visited Mr. and Mrs. Sam Haney in Nampa. Christmas dinner and fes tivities were shared with the Hartmans in the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Steel in Parma. Mr. and Mrs. Hal Buck and family spent Christmas holidays in Portland with Mrs. Buck's mother. They were gone for a week. Mrs. Marie Catro of Gilchrist. Oregon has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ben Payne, and Mrs. Payne said, she is now snowed in with them and will stay a while longer. She is Ben's cousin.
