The polling place for said election shall be the Big Bend school house located 3*/i miles southeast of Adrian Oregon and the polls shall be opened at 8:00 A. M. on the day of election and shall be kept open until 5:00 P.M., when the polls shall be closed. Nominations for such office may be made by petition, signed by at least ten (10) electors of the District or at an assembly of not less than twenty-five (25) electors. NOTICE CALL FOR BIDS FOR ROOFING JOB NOTICE IS HEREBY GI VEN that the City of Nyssa" will accept bids from quali fied bidders for the applica tion of a built-up type roof on the Nyssa Public Library Building. The work to be performed consists of the application of a fifteen (15) year specification roof, wall cover and caps, and the installation of new guttering. A complete description of the work to be performed and the job specifications together with the qualifications for bidders and bid forms may be obtained at City Hall. 14 South 3rd Street, Nyssa, Oregon. All bids must be submitted on forms supplied by the City to the City Clerk on or before November 5. 1976. Bids will be opened at Council Cham bers at 8:00 P.M. November 9. 1976. Nov. 4. 1976 Activities In Arcadia By Nell Bowers ARCADIA - The Arcadia Sunshine Club met with Anna Grace Edmunson. Fri day of last week. There were twelve members present. All reported a good time. There was one guest, a new neighbor in the vicinity. Mrs. McPeak. Amy Stradlev went with the Owyhee Community Church group to the Malheur Memorial Nursing home for services. Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Muck of Vancouver, Wash., spent Friday night at the Otis Bullard home. Kenneth is a cousin of Otis’. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wallace of Yuciapa. Calif., visited Mr. and Mrs. Otis Bullard this weekend. Mr. Wallace is a second cousin of Mrs. Bullard. He is 90 years old. The couple came in a motor home, which was driven by Mrs. Wallace, who is in her late 70’s. Mrs Sam Moore returned from St. Luke's Hospital this week. She had been in St. Lukes for tests for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kesler. Sr., were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Bunn. Sunday. Karlene and Darlene Car roll of Cow Hollow, twin daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Carroll, spent Satur day night with their grandpa rents. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Carroll. Echo Howe visited Sunday afternoon with Clyde and Nell Bowers. Mrs. Eva Aspinwall and Eileen Nelson spent Thurs day morning helping Nell Bowers prepare for a yard sale, which was held Friday and Saturday. First rainfall this month fell Sunday night. Just a shower! Don Bowers, Mark, David and Brent visited Clyde and Nell Bowers. Sunday after noon. Mr. and Mrs. Giles Carey of Nyssa visited Clyde and Nell Bowers, Saturday eve ning. Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Scrivner visited Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bowers. Thursday afternoon. The Scrivners live in Ontario. Mr. and Mrs. Chad Olsen and family moved into their new Boise-Cascade home, this week. It is on the site of their former trailer home, west of Brig Olsens.
