recovering from surgery on
both knees. He returned to
his grandparents home last
week from St. Alphonsus
Hospital in Boise.

Sunday from Hale. Missouri
where they have been visit­
ing friends and relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wood
have been spending quite a
lot of their time lately visiting
their grandson Larry Wood of
Nyssa at the Holy Rosary
Hospital in Ontario. He is
recovering at home now from
injuries received in an auto
accident. His sister. Robin,
was less seriously injured.
Mrs. Ethel Smith and a
friend from Boise were last
Thursday luncheon guests of
Mrs. Winifred Bennett. Mrs.
Ethel Smith recently moved
to Boise from Big Bend.
Mrs. James McGinnis took
Mrs. Sue Ashcraft and Mrs.
Vem Parker of Adrian to
Boise last Monday where
they attended funeral ser­
vices for Mrs. Charlie (Mae)
McConnell. The McConnells
lived where Mrs. Ethel Smith
lived in the 1930's.
Mr. and Mrs. Dyre Roberts
left last Friday morning by
bus for Salem where they
visited Mr. and Mrs. Wesley
(Deede) Roberts. Mr. Ro­
berts is recovering nicely
from recent cancer surgery.
On Sunday, they all visited
Mr. and Mrs. Clark Enos in
Woodburn. The Enos' lived
many years in Adrian where
he managed Van Petten
Lumber Co. The Roberts
returned home too late
Tuesday evening to get the
Big Bend news in the paper
last week.

underwent cataract surgery
at Boise. Mr and Mrs Pete
Sillonis visited her last
Sunday at the Inaki Eigurren
home in Boise and Mr. and
