Page Four Shawn Webb Is Seated As Honored Queen Shawn Webb was installed as Honored Queen of Bethel No. 33. International Order of Job's Daughters during a 7:30 p.m. ceremony held June 10. 1976 at the Masonic Hall. Shawn is the daughter Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Webb of Adrian. Vera Webb. Guardian and Clarence Wer- nick Associate Guardian, pro- tem opened the meeting. Preceding the installation rites. Bethel Officers pre sented the ceremony, "Book of Silver," and as they entered they hung silver stars on a tree and then formed an open book. Chris Webb was the narrator and Miriam Kunkel provided the background music. Sharon Barnes, retiring Honored Queen, served as installing officer for the evening. She was assisted by Tami Cleaver, guide; Mary Ann Chadwick, marshall; Gigi Smith, chaplain. Also assisting were Tami Cleaver, senior custodian; Alicia Shell junior custodian; Lynn Camp bell, recorder; Miriam Kun kel, musician; and Dena Piercy, flag bearer. In addition to the honored Queen, elected officers in stalled were; Whitni Morri son. junior princess; Jolyn Garner, guide; Kelly Mills, marshall; Karen Hutchinson, senior custodian; Jeanette Hutchinson, junior custo dian; Jeannie Sword, musi cian; Jackie Chadwick, chap lain; Jodi Grunke. inner guard; Sheila Runyan, first messenger. During the crowning of Honored Queen Shawn. Har riet and Gloria Lorensen sang the beautiful. "Theme From Exodus.” They were accom panied by Libby Miller. The new Honored Queen presented Sharon Barnes with her past honored que en’s pin and certificate. She then introduced her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Webb, her grand parents. Grand Bethel Re corder of Oregon and six majority members from Be thel No. 33 and one from Bethel No. 56 of Auburn. Washington. Also introduced were Pau line Mackey and Louise Wernick, Past Guardians and Jerry Mackey and Clarence Wernick. Past Associate Guardians all of Bethel No. 33. and three members of Bethel No. 27 of Parma The Queen's mother and father presented their daugh ter with a gavel. Beatrice Grossnickle. Associate Mat ron. presented Miss Webb with a Job's Daughters Bible in behalf of the Golden Rule Chapter No. 131. Mrs. Charles Morris presented a gift also. The Honored Queen then presented Guardians Vera Webb and Louise Wernick their pictures. Assisting with the program was Lynne Pittz who was in charge of the guest book; Tami Cleaver, flowers and pictures. Dian Webb. Glenda Barnes cut and served the cake with Kim Webb presi ding at the punch bowl and Mrs. Clarence Webb serving coffee. The girls will leave June 16 for Grand Session in Grants Pass. The next meeting will be Tuesday evening June 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Masonic Hall. Kingman Kolony News KINGMAN KOLONY • Mrs. Anna Long and Mrs. Mabie Piercy called on Mrs. Ethel Thompson Tuesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Osborn announce the arrival of a new grandson. Adam Trent, born to their daughter and husband. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Smith, June 3. he weighed eight pounds and nine ounces. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rhodes went to Osbow Dam for the weekend. Their boys stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Rhodes of Parma and Elisabeth with Mr. and Mrs. Rolla Rhodes of Roswell. Frank and Joan Rhodes caught some bass. The wind came up and it rained, then fishing was over. Mrs. Gnettv Piercy played cards at the home of Elsie Diven in Nyssa last Friday. Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nedrow finished moving Frances Kratsburgh from Nvssa to Parma. Mrs. Jim Phifer attended the baby shower for Linda Simpson at the Presbyterian Church in Adrian Friday evening. Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Lupie Castro Jr. and Max Mitchell were callers in the Ed Nedrow home. Mr and Mrs. Ed Nedrow and Jimmie went to the Far East Restaurant in Ontario to dinner. Mrs. Inez Goodwin's sister and brother-in-law Fred and Eunice Goodwin of New Pine Creek. Oregon came Mon day and were overnight guests in the Goodwin home and her nephew Ray Owens of Salt Lake City came Tuesday and had dinner with them. He was on his way to Eugene to pick up his wife who had been visiting her parents there Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ervin visited Mrs. Pearl Allen and family near Ontario Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Klaas Laan attended the wedding of Betty Van- nanen and Robert King at the French Church in Star Saturday evening. Mrs. Sharon Thiel of Boise was a Friday luncheon guest of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Don Fox. Mead Robb of Nyssa and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Bre- shears of Roswell were Sunday afternoon visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Robb. Mr. and Mrs. Mitch Anderson and family of Coos Bay, Oregon came Saturday evening and will spend a week or more visiting Mr. and Mrs. Willis Conant and other relatives in this area. Sunday dinner guests in the Willis Conant home were the Mitch Anderson family. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Conant and family. Mrs. Ralph Lewis and fmaily of Nu Acres and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Conant. Mr. and Mrs. Rod Conant and family of Nampa were Sunday afternoon callers in the Willis Conant home. Mr. and Mrs. Don Thomp son and family of Seneca came Friday evening to visit his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Thompson. They returned home Sunday mor ning. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Thomp son and family of Nyssa were Saturday evening dinner guests in the Herschel Thompson home. Laurance Oden and family from Albany Mr and Mrs. John Low of Quincy joined the group at the Oden home on Saturday. The children and their families returned to their homes Sunday and the Lows are continuing their visit this week • • • Mr. and Mrs. Muri Lancas ter returned to their home in Nyssa Sunday following a four-day visit at the home of their daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hobson and family in Hagerman. • • • Mrs. Jim Griffin traveled to Baker on the bus last Thursday where she joined her sister and brother-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Jones and Marilyn Frisco and Lisa and they attended a wedding reception in Buckley. Wash ington. She returned to her home in Nyssa on Saturday. On Sunday, her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gann and Penny from Boise visited at the Griffin home. They left Penny so that she may visit with her grandparents this week • • • Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Brown were their children and families. Mr. and Mrs. Gene DeRock and family of Nampa, Mr. and Mrs. Don Brown and daughter of Boise, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Brown and son of Moses Lake, Washington and Mrs. Gary DeRock and family of Nyssa. Everett Heldt and his mother, Mrs. A. L. Heldt went to Renton, Washington to attend the confirmation of her grandson, John Heldt, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Heldt, a week ago. On Thursday they drove on to Aloha. Oregon to attend the wedding of a granddaugh ter, Brenda Heldt to Randy Schults in the Lutheran Church on Saturday. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Heldt. • • • Mrs. Blanche Weeks, her daughter, Mrs. Plais Johnson and Denise of Parma went to Milwaukie, Oregon recently to attend the graduation of Mrs. Weeks' granddaughter. Roy Rogers and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Coberiy, Brenda and Jeanie Webb from Bentonville ar rived to take Mrs. Rogers on to California before returning to their home in Arkansas. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in February. 1952. The couple has resided in Nyssa their 25 years of marriage.
