Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kygar and family went to the Harold Jenkins home Sunday where they had a birthday dinner honoring Jay. Other guests were Kathy Hay and Mr. and Mrs. Walt McConathy and Brenda. Jay Kygar went with the Adrian baseball team to Hepner and lone Thursday where they played three games and won them all. They returned on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nedrow called on Mr. and Mrs. Mas Mitchell Thursday. Mrs. Ed Nedrow visited Billy Linville and Mrs. Joe Castro and baby Saturday afternoon. Jimmie Nedrow and Mike Castro Jr. went fishing at the Owyhee Dam Sunday. Fish ing was poor. Mrs James Scott of Lewiston and Miss Jeannette Martin of Clarks ton. Joining the group for evening dinner were Mr and Mrs. Jerry Freitag and family of Nyssa and Mrs. Bill Toomb. Also joining the sbove group at the Jim Phifer home Sunday for an early Easter dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Parker of Adrian and Mary Hatt of Owyhee Cor ners. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Radford and family were Sunday evening dinner gue sts of her parents. Mr and Mrs. Earl Ervin. Mrs. Earl Ervin called on Mr. and Mrs. Joe Castro Saturday afternoon and saw their new baby girl Naomi Jo. Word was received that Raymond Price had a mas sive stroke recently and is recuperating. They are living in Parma and are former Kingman Kolony residents. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gehrke were Saturday evening visi tors of Mr and Mrs Willis Conant. Mrs. Myron Osborn went to Emmett Tuesday and took her parents. Mr and Mrs. J. E. Ceariey to Ontario to see their doctor Mr. and Mrs. Paul Herring of Pasco brought Mr. and Mrs J. R Osborn home Saturday, they had spent the past four months visiting there and with their daughter Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Cos in Kenewlck. The Herrings returned home on Sunday. Mrs. Amy Stradley went with the Dail family and the Haney family. Sunday, to New Meadows, where the "Son Shiners” sang at the morning church services. They all went on to Riggins, where they partook of a potluck dinner and the "Son Shiners sang for the evening services. They encounirred a variety of climate changes on their way. At New Meadows there was about a foot and a half of snow on the ground and still looked very much like winter. When they got to Riggins, the apricot trees were in full bloom and the forsythia waa beautiful. The church was decorated with huge bouquets of the flowers. Mrs Parley Feik visited Mrs. Inga Robbins. Thursday afternoon. Darlene and Carlene Car rol, twin daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Carroll spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Carroll. Henry Carroll plowed the garden for George Moeller. Saturday morning. Gary and Peggy Neilson and family were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bullard and famly on Sunday. Todd Cindell spent the weekend with his grandpa rents. Mr. and Mrs Ernest Stephenson. Clarence and Emma Kes ler visited Mrs. Kesler's brother and wife Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Goodfellow, at Payette, a week ago Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Merrildean Robbins, Mr. and Mrs. Lewellyn Robbins and family of Baker Mr. and Mrs. Norvelle Robbins and family, were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Robbins. Don Bowers. Mark, Brent and David viaited a while Saturday evening at the Clyde Bowers home. They had been horseback riding in the sage brush Saturday. They saw four deer. A housewarming was held for Jim and Sue Tracy Saturday evening. There were about silty guests who tried to surprise Jim and Sue. Refreshments were served. Hostesses for the affair were Mrs. Mike Petersen and Mrs. Chad Olsen. Otis and Pearl Bullard viaited Mrs. Lillian Zittercob and her daughter, Mrs. Harry Thurman, Sunday at Nyssa. Mrs. Thurman is from Baltimore and has been visiting her mother for three weeks. Mrs. Lillian Zittercob and Mrs. Bertha Matherley took Mrs. Harry Thurman to Boise. Tuesday, where she took a plane for her home in Baltimore. 0 PHONE 372-2183-♦-« des, children of Mr and Mrs. Frank Rhodes have the measles Mrs. Genetty Piercy atten ded the Happy Dozen Card Club which met at the home of Mrs. Thelma Hammon in Ontario Friday afternoon. Mrs. Earl Kygar went with her daughter Sharon Gordon to Portland to see her daughter^ doctor on Wednes day and returned Thursday evening. Mrs. Bill Toomb took her sister. Miss Jeanette Martin to Boise Monday to accom pany the Vincent Scotts and Mrs. James Scott on their trip home. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Good win of Lake View. Oregon T' oodlan B: ‘ : i By Lyn Duhner •••••••••a It was a gladsome gather ing of the clan at Mrs. Alice Pulsipher's home last week when daughter Leia (Mrs. Maurice Fokken) and her two children, Julie and Jamie, flew in for a few days visit recently, having come via Salt Lake City from her home in Omaha, Nebraska. All of her brothers and sisters and their kin visited her while here, all but one. Roger Jenkins she saw in Utah, as he lives in Hunts ville. Her brother Frank Fry and his wife came down from Nezperce for over the weekend. Mrs. George Gross man and sons, Jesse and Gregory, came from Ellens- Page Seven •••••••••{ burg. Washington. Mrs. Clair Bus with chil dren, Kimberly and Kim came down from Othello. Washington. Mrs. russell Haggarty of Nu Acres was there and Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Fry and family came over from Parma. Another brother, and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Ri chard Jenkins entertained the group at their home in Fruitland. The whole celebra tion was capped by a dinner for twelve at the Eastside on Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Maine, have moved from Modesto, Calif., are settling on the farm of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Omar Maine, and plan to build their own home here in Nu Acres. Mr. Maine plans to continue his education at TVCC and to farm here. Portland. Mr and Mrs. Ben Payne had a birthday dinner Sunday honoring Ben and Mrs. Payne's brother. Bill Newell. Present were Mr and Mrs Bill Newell. Ken Newell and his mother. Stella Newell, all of Nampa, Mr. and Mr.s Ernie Spielman of Emmett, and Mr and Mrs Bob Shaw of Nu Acres. Mrs. Armine Hartman and son Nuby attended a wedding Saturday night at the Presby terian Church in Roswell where Donna Perez, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Perez, of Parma was married to Kirk Berry of Boise. Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and mrs. Woodrow Wilson were Mr. and Mrs. Homer Haley of Fruitland.
