Oregon Police Report Activities In Arcadia IDAHO CONCRETE PIPE COMPANY has exhibited this truck in Nyssa for the past several days, their way of calling attention to the Bicentennial. Glade Chadwick, manager of Oregon Concrete of Nyssa, said that this truck was taken out of service for three months, cleaned up and painted at a cost $3,000. and has been shown in several communities served by the firm After the truck leaves Nyssa it will go back in service in the Nampa- Caldwell area. Mrs. Ben Witty assisted her. Mrs. Alan Bennett and Mrs. Stan Thomas gave the lesson. “Interacting with Schools." Sixteen members and one guest. Mrs. Floyd Wood of Marsing attended. Mrs. Winifred Bennett, Mrs. Dyre Roberts and Mrs. Elmer Wood accompanied Mrs. Floyd Wood of Marsing to Caidwell Tuesday evening where they attended a Pantomtne recital in which Brenda Wood took pan Later they were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Buck Thompson in Caldwell. Mrs. John Pack wood. Mrs. Leroy Bennett. Mrs. Wini fred Bennett and Mrs. Dyre Roberts attended Presby terian Women's Association at the home of Mrs. Mabel Piercy in Adrian Thursday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Denny Grindall of Seattle were Wednesday overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Reg Ludy. Angie Silfonis went to Anthony Lake Ski Resort for a weekend outing as a guest of Cariene Carroll. The Arcadia Sunshine Club Valentine party was held Friday the 13. evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth McGowan. Valen tine decorations by the hostess brought a note of gaily to the party. Potluck dishes and Kentucky fried chicken were served at seven. There were nineteen guests present: Mr. and Mrs. Parley Feik. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Bowers. Mr. and Mrs. Brig Olsen, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Bullard. George Moeller Mr. and Mrs. Arie Bakker. Mr and Mrs. Don Bullard. Mr. and Mrs. Clvde Bowers. Sue Tracy and Golda Roper Mr. and Mrs. Lewellyn Robbins of Baker visited Mrs. Norvelle Robbins, who is in the hospital in Nyssa on Sunday. Later the Lewellyn Robbins and the L. E. Robbins had dinner at the N orvelle Rob bins home. Eleven men from the Owyhee church gathered Tuesday at the Otis Bullard home W split wood for the church. Dinner was served at the home of Amy Stradley with the assitance of Annette Haney. Ethel Mae Dail. Connie Bullard, and Kay Moxom. All had a good time and good fellowship together Amy Stradley visited her mother-in-law. Frome Strad ley at the Casa Loma Nursing Home in Payette. Friday. Frome is nearly 98 years old. now and is in fairly good health. Marguirite Moss is home from the hospital where she had surgery. She is recu perating at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Marvin (An ita) Hill at Homedale. Otis and Pearl Bullard visited Lee Dail. Sunday afternoon. Lee went into the hospital to have an eye operation. attended the potluck supper at the Roswell Presbyterian Church Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Denny Grindall gave an illustrated talk, following the dinner of thier work with the Maasai tribe in Africa. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Avery visited his brother. Don Avery in Heyburn, Idaho over the weekend. Mrs. Dyre Roberts accom panied Mrs. Bea Grossnickle of Roswell. Mrs. Gene Dockter and Mrs. Bob Webb of Adrian to a District Tops meeting at the Boulevard Grange Hall near Ontario Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Thomas and family attended a family dinner Saturday evening at the Ralph Thomas home in Roswell honoring Mrs. Ralph Thomas on her birthday. Mrs. Darrell English enter tained with a Tupperware Party Monday afternoon. Eight ladies attended. A 21-year-old Nyssa man was arrested Thursday by Nyssa Police on a charge of first-degree theft. Michael Dwayne Carman was arraig ned in Nyssa Justice Court and requested a preliminary hearing. According to the police. Carman's charge stems from a November 1975 gun theft. The gun was reportedly taken from a parked vehicle and officers report that it has been recovered. Glenn Vosburg. 62. Nyssa was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence of intoxicating li quor. He was arraigned in Municipal Court and pleaded not guilty. A later date will be set for a trial. Two illegal aliens were arrested Sunday. Jose Pina and Ramon Pina are being held for immigration autho rities. Tuesday, a juvenile was charged with shoplifting at the MAW Market during the noon hour. February 19. 1976 o Kathy Daudt Begins As Extension Cadet Kathy Daudt is presently working as a cadet teacher out of the Ontario Extension Office. She is working closely with Mrs. Carol Knothe. They arc working currently with the third grades. Carol Knothe and Kathy are planning to work with the first, second, third and fourth grades at Nyssa, teaching them bicycle safety and better food nutrition in a program called Sue Kanga roo. Kathy started this program at the beginning uf second semester. When she completes high school. Kathy is thinking <4 going into the extension business. She said she would like to do cadet teaching like this next year, depending on how it works out this year. Mrs. Knothe, Extension Hl Kathy Daedt Home Economist, works with the 4-H program in Malheur County out of Ontario.
