John, flew his plane to Twin Falls last week to attend a Farm Hand meeting and when he retur ned. the fog was so thick he could not land at Ontario and had to go to Boise and land there How tiresome to have a plane and have to leave it fifty miles away and drive home. Mary is still working with Christian Business and Pro fessional Womens Council and she gave a glowing report on the interesting speakers they've had at their dinner meetings the past few months May have to get back with them and share the joy. Friday. On the way home they called on Louie and Viola Pryor, old time Arcadia residents, who now live in Ontario. Mr and Mrs. Otis Hullard spent Sunday afternoon visit ing Clyde Long, in Nyssa. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Robbins had dinner with the Norvelle Robbins family Sun day. Mr and Mrs. Jim Carroll visited Mr. and Mrs. Henry Carroll. Sunday evening. Happy liirthday Delta Kappa Gamma Meet Delta Kappa Gamma held its January meeting in the Starlight Cafe at Vale with 31 members present A chicken dinner was served and Dr. Edwin Morgan, superin tendent of the Vale Piemen tary and Middle School spoke on professional affairs which was very much appreciated. A business meeting was held under the leadership of Jackie Ashby, president, and Ona Laurance gave a mini speech on the societies constitution. The nest meeting will be held at Adrian in the basement of the church. The engagement of Cheryl Westfall of Wendell. Idaho to Randy Huker of Nyssa has been announced, by her parents. Mr. and Mrs. James Westfall of Wendell. Ran ’» is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Buker of Nyssa. Miss Westfall is a senior at Wendell High School. Her fiance was graduated from Wendell High School and is employed at Amalgamated Sugar Company in Nyssa. A definite wedding date has not been selected by the betrothed couple. Mrs. Sisson's Busy Bees 4-H Club met for their regular meeting We measured ourselves to see what size we would wear to make clothes. Then we made a fruit salad plate. We had a good time. Steve Bishop On Dean s List Steve Bishop, son of Mr. and Mrs. Verl Bishop of Apple Valley, recently made the Dean's List at Eastern Oregon College at La Grande Bishop, a sophomore re ceived a grade point of 3.5 or better to be on the list.
