The Bulldogs opened the game with an electrifying punt return by Bill Marcum covering a distance of 91 yards and Nyssa's first touchdown, Pro Escobedo ran for the two-point conver sion and Nyssa led 8 to 0. Then the Pioneers took the kickoff and marched 73 yards to tie the ball game at 8 8 with a touchdown by Robin Baune. and he also ran for the two-point conversion. Dirk Sappe then scored from 4 yards out and the kick failed so Nyssa led 14 to 8. After an exchange of the ball Nyssa's Pro Escobedo rushed for 8 yards and the second TD of the night, the run failed and Nyssa led 20 to 8. But the Pioneers came back and scored on a four-yard pass from Cock burn to Parsons and a two-point conversion and at halftime. Nyssa led 20 to 16. The second half opened with the Pioneers struggling to move the ball until penalties started to plague Nyssa giving Mac Hi good field position and they later scored giving Mac Hi their first lead in the game 22 to 20. Mac Hi then scored ano ther tough touchdown and failed to make the conversion to make the score 28 to 20 in Mac Hi's favor. shed the Pioneers 294 yards to 75. He said that the Department of Motor Vehicles is now field testing three new written examinations which will even* tually be given to all applicants for an instruction permit or a driver's license. Nyssa Has Quiet Halloween Eve Police reports indicate that the Nyssa area enjoyed a quiet, orderly Halloween. There have been no reports of vandalism or malicious mischief. Over the weekend Nyssa Police arrested two men on charges of driving while under the influence of intoxi cating liquor. Arrested were Gozalo Gar za Escobedo. 49. and Ruben Ramero. 18. both of Nyssa. The were arraigned in police court Monday Esco bedo received a $255 fine and must attend rehabilitation sessions at TVCC under the direction of the Malheur County Council on Alcohol and Drugs.
