DIRECTOR OF BIG BEND
IRRIGATION DISTRICT
Notice is hereby given that
an election for the office of
one Director for the Big Bend
Irrigation District in Malheur
County. Oregon, for a term of
(3) years, will be held within
said District on November 12.
1975. The polling place for
said election shall be the Big
Bend school house located
3*/i miles southeast of
Adrian. Oregon and the polls
shall be opened at 8:00 A.M.
on the day of election and
shall be kept open until 5:00
P.M.. when the polls shall be
closed.
Nominations for such office
may be made by petition,
signed by at least ten (10)
electors of the District or at
an assembly of not less than
twenty-five electors. All no­
minations shall be filed with
the Secretary of the District
at least fifteen (15) days
before the date of election.
Nominating petition forms
may be obtained from the
Secretary of the District.

directors of the Ridgeview
Irrigation District will meet at
the home of Masa Nishihara
in the County of Malheur.
State of Oregon, that being
the District's office, at 8:00
P.M. on the 21st. day of
October. 1975. to sit as a
Board of Equalization for the
purpose of reviewing and
correcting its assessment and
apportionment of taxes for
defraying
the
operation,
maintenance and construc­
tion costs and expenses for
the District for the year 1976.
Any complaint concerning
the assessments or any

gon's onion production for
1975 was down from last
year's crop by six percent.
The Western Oregon crop
decreased 19 percent. Na­
tionally. the onion production
dropped by five percent.

Oregon strawberry produc­
tion increased by one percent
from last year, despite 15
percent fewer acres in use.
An indication of the decline is
evident when compared with
1973 when 14 percent more
berries were harvested. The
1975 yield was the highest
since 197], Grower return
was down nine percent from
1974.

Oregon-Washington
filbert
crop to be at a record level.
Oregon’s share is estimated
to be 92 percent greater than
the 1974 utilized tonnage.
