The Western Oregon crop decreased 19 percent. Na­ tionally. the onion production dropped by five percent. OANS Oregon strawberry produc­ tion increased by one percent from last year, despite 15 percent fewer acres in use. An indication of the decline is evident when compared with 1973 when 14 percent more berries were harvested. The 1975 yield was the highest since 197], Grower return was down nine percent from 1974. OANS OC4LRS estimates the Oregon-Washington filbert crop to be at a record level. Oregon’s share is estimated to be 92 percent greater than the 1974 utilized tonnage.
