She came Tuesday. The Arcadia Sunshine Club held their annual Valentine party for their husbands at the Brig Olsen home on Saturday night. A pot luck dinner was the first thing on the agenda with Kentucky Fried Chicken as the main course The evening was spent playing party games and visiting. Former club members attending the party were: Don and Janine Lytle of Nampa and Mrs Lytie’s parents Mr. and Mrs Georges Mangin, also of Nampa, Mr. and Mrs Jas- per Faries, of Ontario; Mr and Mrs. George Coleman, of Ontario. Members pre sent were: Mr and Mrs Everett Edmunson: Mr. and Mrs. Neil Petterson, Mr and Mrs. Ed Bulgin, Mr and Mrs. Parley Feik, Mr and Mrs. Arie Bakker; Mr and Mrs. Clyde Bowers; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Bowers; Mr and Mrs. Orland White. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kesler, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Vard Olsen. Mr. and Mrs. Don Bowers and family spent Sunday afternoon and evening at the Clyde Bowers home. Mr. and Mrs Ernest Stephenson attended the basketball game in Nyssa Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Saunders and Mr and Mr * Don W llson attended the bas ketball game in Nyssa Fri day night. They went on to the Wilson home for lunch by way of celebrating Cleta Saunders’ birthday. Mrs. Otis Bullard called at the George Moeller home on Friday. Connell Petterson and Rod Frahm have gone on a trip. They are expected back next week. Mrs Inga Robbins at tended a stork shower, Sun day afternoon, at the Manuel Mena home. The guest of honor was Mrs Yolanda Mena Rodríguez, who was a former student of Mrs. Rob bins when she taught atCairo school. Mrs. George Moeller re turned to the hospital in Boise, Monday morning Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stephenson and Mr and Mrs Dennis Cindell and Todd, went to Emmett Sunday to see the motorcycle races. Todd Cindell, who is six years old raced with his Honda 50. They were met there by their family from Boise and enjoyed the day with a picnic. Florence Pettet visited Avo Moeller Friday after noon. Mr. and Mrs Mike Pet terson and family returned Saturday evening from a vacation trip to California. They visited the Redwood forests on their way; also visited the Sea World, Dis neyland, and many other at tractions. They visited Mike’s uncle, Carl Kesler and family at Simi Valley, and Mrs. Petterson's aunt and uncle, Mr and Mrs. Paul Broberg and her grand mother Mrs Irene Bird at Los Angeles. They visited Mike's sister Mrs Patty Walker and family at Carls bad, California, near Camp Pendleton where her husband is stationed. The highlight of the trip for Mrs Petter son was a visit with an old friend, C onme Morcom Oli- veria, at their ranch atHar- veria, at Visalia,California. Connie and her family, the Gene Morcom’s traded their ranch at Harper for a ranch in California. They have 360 acres of orange groves and many other varieties of fruit and nuts. The Pet terson's report having had no trouble getting gas on their trip although in western Ore gon once they were held up for a bit because they had the wrong license number to purchase gas that day, how ever the problem was soon resolved. Mr. and Mrs Van lire went to Arizona, last week, to visit Mr. and Mrs. Ira Ure and Doris Jean. They were accompanied on their trip by Mrs. Van Ure’s bro ther. NEWS FROM BIG BEND BY GOLDIE ROBERTS BIG BEND - Mr and Mrs Raymond Cartwright are re joicing over the arrival of their 5th grandchild. Todd Jason born February 1 in Boise to Mr. and Mrs. Don Barbee. He has a brother Shawn at home. The little fellow is the 22nd great grandchild for Mr and Mrs. Ray Cartwright Big Bend lost a good neigh bor Friday evening when Les ter Campbell passed away in Nampa Medical Center. Services for him was held Monday afternoon atDakan's in Parma with burial at Ros well. Don Case, Varner Hopkins and Willits Van De Water acted as pallbearers. Brig Olsen visited John Sebum Sunday. Mr. and Mrs, Otis Bul lard and Amy Stradley spent Sunday at the Owyhee Com munity Church where a pot luck dinner was served. Mrs. Golda Roper and Amy Stradley went to the Senior Citizen's meeting Wednesday afternoon. A former member of the Arcadia Sunshine Club, Judy Barnes is in the Holy Ros ary Hospital, in critical con dition. Mr. and Mrs Ted Howe returned Monday from a visit to her sister, Mrs. Ella Hicks in Salmon. Idaho. They were gone a week. They report no problem getting gasoline Our sympathy to the bereaved family . Mr and Mrs. Jerry Bell of Hermiston came to visit Mrs Edythe Prosser for the weekend. Saturday the Bells and Mrs Prosser visited Mr and Mrs Delno Brock in On tario. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wood and family of Nyssa were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs Elmer Wood Friday evening. Mr and Mrs. Leonard Hobbs and daughter of Filer recently visited his grand parents. Mr and Mrs Ray Cartwright. Jolly Janes Club met W ed nesday afternoon with good attendance at the home of Mrs. Verl Bishop. Mrs. Bruce Broseth was her as sistant For roll call a valentine and hanky exchange was held. March meeting will be with Mrs. Ted Avery. Mr. and Mrs Homer Hatch of Mountain Home drove down Tuesday for the Varner Hopkins farm sale Mrs. John Packwood, Mrs Leroy Bennett and Mrs. Verl Bishop attended a baby sho wer for Mrs. Jim Johnson and new son Saturday after noon at the Jim Phifer home in Kingman Kolony. Mrs. Dyre Roberts and Mrs. Edythe Prosser called on Mr and Mrs. Bill Blevin near Lake Lowell Thursday morning. They also toured the newly remodeled home of Blevin’s daughter, Mt and Mrs. John Frerich. Mrs. Ruth Morgan of Pa yette called on Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cartwright Tuesday. Mrs. Margaret Wood. Ja- nell and Brenda of Marsing were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wood. Mrs Edythe Prosser en tertained the Happy Dozen Pinochle Club at her home Friday afternoon.
