In making this announcement in support of national efforts to alleviate the energy crisis, A. E. Benning, president and chief executive officer of the company, reported that the four sugar factories have already implemented President Nixon’s recommendations to turn off all unnecessary appliances and lights in the buildings and of fices. “I am asking that each per son, in discharging his res- ponsibilites in the company, comply with the President's re quests in principle as well as in fact,” Mr. Benning said in a special memorandum issued recently to all employees. In addition to this action, five- man energy task force teams surprised Mrs. NellCorrell re cently by taking in an early birthday dinner, and sharing it with her and they also shared the birthday cake with Mrs. Lloyd Dibble who was also hav ing a birthday anniversary.
