clubs also are helping farmers

Thursday evening, July 19, with
Master Ernie Metcalf presiding.
Agriculture Chairman Harold
Kurtz reported on an article
stating that “An Apple a Day
Not Only Keeps the Doctor
Away, But Keeps the Dentist
Away Also.” The article stated
that chewing an apple provided
95% efficiency in cleaning teeth
compared to 65% efficiency
of the tooth brush.

voted to meet

because of conflicting dates of
the County Fair.
Refreshments were served by
the Stanley Sisson and Elvin
Ballou couples.
Mrs. Moss announced that
Bruce Sarazin will be guest
speaker at the next regular
meeting August 2, and will show
a film on solid waste prob
lems in Malheur County. Hosts
for the evening will be Mr. and
Mrs. Duane Buchtel and Mrs.
Leroy Herrman.

was for the Nyssa High School
Classes of 1934-1935-1936 and
1937. A large crowd attended.
Wednesday evening, Mr. and
Mrs. Vern Parker and Mr.
and Mrs. Bob Webb had a party
for Mrs. Ethel Smith to show
her their appreciation for the
many years of service she had
extended them.

Parker. The group presented
her with a money tree.
Mrs. Sue Ashcraft went to
Rigby, Idaho last Wednesday
where she visited her sister,
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kail-
lian, and several nieces and
nephews and a sister-in-law.
Mrs. Sue Ashcraft attended
an Ashcraft family reunion the
7 and 8 of July at Mason Dam
out of Baker. About 39 relatives
attended. The group enjoyed
boating and fishing.
