The tournament, which is being conducted by the Nyssa Sports Boosters Club, started on Monday, July 9, and will last until Thursday, July 12. The consolation round for third and fourth places will be held Thursday at 5 30 p.m. with the team from Vale already hav ing one spot in the game. The championship round for first and second places will be held after the consolation round Thursday at 7 30 p.m. and the team from Pioneer already has one of the spots in that game. Adrian Baseball Team Rolls Over Ontario Adnan's 12-year-olds played Ontario last Friday, July 6, at Adrian and worked solidbat- ting and pitching into an 8 to 2 victory over the Ontario team. During the game, Robert Johns caught a good pitch and hit a home run with one man on base. The rest of Adrian's runs came on singles and errors. Steve Thomas was the win ning pitcher for Adrian. Friday's victory gives the Adrian team a record of 8 wins and 1 loss. TROPHY WINNERS in the Second Annual Idaho Statesman Flight Tournament tennis competition from Nyssa Philip Klinkenberg, 17, took first place in the Lou Head flight, Michelle Sadamori, 12, took third place in the Junior Girls Num ber two and Shannon Sadamori, 18, took TROPHIES AND CERTIFICATES of award were presented these area youngsters for their achievements in the tennis portion of Treasure Valley Community College's summer recreation program.
