WW. I Barracks Auxiliary # 352 On May 20 the World War I Barracks and Auxiliary »352 held their regular meeting at the Vale Grange Hall. Twenty- nine were pre-,ent for a potluck dinner. At the Auxiliary meeting con ducted by Vivian Lawrence president a decision was made to hold a rummage sale in the near future. The purpose being to raise funds for delegates going to the state conventions. The Charter was draped in m<-mori of Lucinda B. Daniel who passsed away April 30. God bless the women of America.” I cannot refrain from adding to this column on the mothers of our servicemen something about my own mother. Iwastiut a small child when 1 watched my mother see off to tin-Second World W ar the first of five sons. As each one left my mother would add their name to a special prayer list. Many was the night that I heard her in her bedroom lifting then names one by one to God in prayer. Her prayers reached to Th«- Throne of God for each one endured the battle without so much as a wound and all returned home again in good health. I am certain that it was Mother's Prayers that kept them dm ing the battles that they went through. With President Lincoln],too, lift my voice in thanksgiving for the mothers of our service men.
