Miss Jackson re- ceived her crown from Miss Rogue Val- ley of 1972, Miss Cynthia Ernest, right rear. Left front is Miss Jamie Smith of Med- ford, first runner up with Miss Sharon Silver, Ashland, second runner up. Traveling to Medford for the contest were all five of Nancy’s sisters, andtheir families: Lynn Wortendyke, Portland, Marcia Wimmer, Springfield; Caren Mason, Klamath Falls; Jill and Megan both of Nyssa along with their brother Tom, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilton Jackson and grandmother, Mrs. T.J. Hillman of Victorville, California. Among Nancy’s gifts as winner were the tiara, a dozen roses, diamond ring, fur jacket, $500 scholarship, an extensive ward robe and complimentary tickets to the Shake spearian Theater in Ashland. Nancy will compete in the Miss Oregon pageant in Seaside July 12-15.
