Van De water, Secretary, within said District, for the purpose of re viewing and correcting its as sessment roll and apportion ment of charges for opera tion, maintenance and const ruction for the 1973-1974 fis cal year The assessment of $0.25 per acre is levied for Operation and maintenance of the Big Bend Unit of the Dis trict. $0.20 per acre is le vied for the opet ation and main tenance of the Park Unit of the District. $3.80 per acre is le vied to meet the construction and rehab (as determined by the Secretary of Interior) of the Park Unit of the District for the 1973-74 fiscal year. The annual operation and maintenance charge of $6.50 per acre for the season of 1973 for the Park Unit is the rate set by the Boise Project Board of Control. All water usedinex cess of 3-1/2 acre feet per acre is $1.85 per acre foot. The assessment roll and re cord may be inspected by any interested person at the office of the Secretary. The Sixth Grade Outdoor Edu cation Tour has been scheduled for May 3rd and 4th, according to Ron Mobley, Malheur Exten sion Agent. Activities have been scheduled at two sites, Lytle Boulevard and Owyhee River. Range and soils will be stu died at Lytle, while geology and fisheries and wildlife will be observed at the Owyhee site. A change in procedure has been instituted this year. In the past resource people have con ducted a major portion of the on-station instruction. This year each teacher will lead his class through each exer cise. At the Lytle site the tea chers will lead their classes through the on-station inves tigation, then assemble for large group debriefing by the resource men. The soils de briefing will be done by Frank Noll of the Vale Bureau of Land Management, while Phil Rumple, also of the BLM, will conduct the range assembly. Dean of Treasure Valley Com munity College will debrief the geology section. The wild life and fisheries station will be conducted with an assembly first, followed by the investi gative tour. Dan Bricco of the BLM and Kin Daily of tlie Ore gon State Game Commission will conduct the wildlife and fisheries assembly.
