The dinner is a combined activity of the Christian Business
and Professional Women and the Christian Women’s club. The
banquet will be held February 10 at 7:15 at the Weese building
on the campus of TVCC. Featured speaker will be Bill Newell
of Lebanon, Oregon, who is chairman of the Oregon State
Board of Parole. Tickets are $3.25 and will be sold in advance
only. They may be obtained at the home of Doris Kent, 208
South 4th Street, in Nyssa or from individual members.

meeting was canceled due to
inclement weather. For that

been planned. The gift exchange

ruary 18 meeting.

a long absence. After dinner,
he recited a poem he had writ
ten entitled ‘‘The Day After
Christmas.”
