Call 372-2233 Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth (Jim) Thomas of the Ridgeview Community will be honored on their 25th Wedding Anniversary with an open house given by their children Jim, Diane and Steve. The occasion will be held in the Friendship Hall of the Friends Church, GRANGE NEWS Members of Oregon Trail Grange met in regular session Thursday evening, January 4, with Master E. B Metcalf pre siding. Officers were seated by Assistant Stewards, Mr. and Mrs. Don Somers. The Fourth Degree obliga tion was given to Deryl Leggett by Master Metcalf and Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Vinsonhaler joined the Grange on a demit from Stanfield Grange. A recess was declared and members wel comed the new members. Legislative Chairman Harold Kurtz reported on the toll free number available for calls to Salem regarding information on Legislative measures. The nu mber is 1-800-452-0290 and in terested individuals are urged to make use of it. Mrs. James Stepben reported that she had the names and addresses of our Senators and Represen tatives. Loyd Adams explained the activities of the Zoning Board. Grange Insurance Agent Wil bur Atherton explained the point system in insurance payments. Homedale, Sunday, January 21, from 2 to 5 p.m. All friends, neighbors and relatives are invited to attend. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas have lived in the Hometfale-Adnan area since their marriage. Mrs. Atherton was a visitor from Boulevard Grange. Plans for the pancake supper to be held January 20 were discussed. Don Somers will be in charge. A note from ‘‘New Eyes for the Needy” was read thanking the Grange for their contri bution. Beside old eye glasses, it was stated, they could use old dentures, hearing aids, me tal scrap such as jewelry, an tique, real, or costume. During the Lecturer’s pro gram, Marguerite Moss led in a game of "What Did You See?” The person with the sharpest eyes and the best me mory was Violet Drvdale. who received a pen for her ability. Members were reminded of the installation of officers to be held at Vale Grange, Thurs day evening, January 11, 8p.m. Oregon Trail members are to bring salads for their part of the potluck lunch.
