SUNSET VALLEY ACTIVITIES ------ BY MARTHA LORENSEN Mr. and Mrs. Ken Lorensen and daughters Harriet and Glo ria were among those attending the Western Idaho Fair at Boise on Labor Day. Mr. and Mrs Marion Gad- berry and two children, Shannon and Brad arrive Tuesday, Aug. 22 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Lorensen and spent the week visiting. Mrs. Gadberry, formerly Dianne Whitman is a granddaughter of the Loren sens'. The Gadberry6' were enroute toward their home af ter vacationing at Oroville, Wash., Wenatchee, Yakima, Wapato and Madras, Oregon visiting relatives along the way. They left early Sunday morn ing for Ashland and the Med ford area. Gadberry teaches Foreign l anguages tn the Med ford Senior High School which began the following day Mrs. Jack Wood, who was severly injured from an acci dental fall during potato har vesting is recovering at the Nyssa Memorial Hospital. At this time she is doing as well as expected. Mr. and Mrs. Max Cleaver of Newton, Iowa have been vi- siting the past week at the homes of the Magnus Ekan- gers and the John Cleavers. They departed for their home Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs Paul Cleaver of Pocatello were guests at the Magnus Ekariger home Saturday night, leaving for home Sunday afternoon Mr. and Mrs Jerry Gordon and family of Payette attended a family dinner Saturday even ing, held at the home ol Mr. and Mrs Magnus Ekanger. Dr and Mrs. Rex Langley and son of Caldwell, Mr and Mrs. Keith Langley and family, and Mrs. E.J. Hobson were Sunday dinner gue ts in honor of Mr. Langb yi birthday anniversary at the Jim Langley home. Mr. and Mrs Hank Rowe of Healdsberg, Calif., spent the past week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ora Newgen. Mrs. Rowe is a sister of Newgen. The Rowes’ returned home Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ora Newgen were among those who attended the open house Sunday afternoon at the home of the U alter Slra- dley< in honor of the 94 birth day anniversary of Mrs Frone Stradley who is Mr s. Mrs. Tim Holly and daughter, Trma, spent the week at the home of Mr. and Mrs Harley Wilson. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nelson and family of Ontario, Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Kersey of Fruitland, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nielsen and fa mily of Homedale area, and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Nielsen and fa mily gathered on the lawn at the hOne of Mrs. Effie Nielsen in Nu Acres for a family picnic dinner Sunday.
