Mrs. Anna Hamilton left Monday evening for Caldwell where she visited her son, Mr. and Mrs. Don Hamilton for a few days. Rosalie Chaney left by plane Monday morning for Los An geles where she will take part in the Special Olympics on the Campus of UCLA. NEWS FROM BIG BEND ........................ ■••BY GOLDIE ROBERTS BIG BEND - Mrs. Blanche Konruff went to Nampa Monday to assist in the Floyd Blamire home for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Bassett of Albany came Wednesday to visit her brother, Mr. and Mrs. Noel Tuppeny. The left Sunday for their home. Mr. and Mrs. Sumpter of Owyhee Corners were Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. HoraceChaneyandfamily. Connie Gale andfriend, Rosie of Boise are visiting Mr. and Mrs. C.K. Smith this week. Mr, and Mrs. Ronnie Bell and family of McNary, Wash., spent the weekend with Mrs. Edythe Prosser. Other guests for a family picnic Saturday evening were, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sheehan and Margaret of Che yenne, Wyoming, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Buckles and Joey of Vale, and Mr. and Mrs. Delno Brock of Ontario. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Riggs of Parma and Wesley Roberts of Salem called on Mr. and Mrs. Dyre Roberts Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. C.K. S. Navy and is presently under going basic training at the Naval Training Center in San Diego, California. Taking advantage of a recent added incenitive, Ma nuel is being accompanied through training with another local youth, Eloy Diaz, who w<s recently reported in the Jtjirnal, The incentive is kqpwn as the "Buddy Program" whereby home town groups are allowed to remain together throughout training. Following thftir graduation and a four teen day leave period, both men w(J| then report to their duty st|tions.
