Thursday, June 22, 1972 BY AVO MOELLER ARCADIA- Mr. and Mrs. El don Struve and Howard of Bre- menton, Wash., spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Houston. Struve is Mrs. Hous ton’s brother. They were en route to Minnesota and the Da kotas for a months visit. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Houston and Kelly were dinner guests Sunday in the Houston home. Mrs. E.J. Marquardt and two children from Everett, Wash., came June 8 to attend the wed ding of her brother, Orville Carroll and Mary Beth Cox in Ontario, June 9. Mr. Marquardt arrived June 16 and they left for Minnesota to visit his pa rents. Sgt. Roy Carroll from Mc Cord Air Base at Tacoma, and Ruth Carroll of Corvallis came to attend the wedding of Orville Carroll and Mary Beth Cox and left June 11. Ruth accompanied him to Portland where she is employed. Roy flew to Florida for two weeks training. Mark Jensen of Boise and Nancy Boyack of Meridian spent two weeks with their grand parents Mr. and Mrs. Otis Bul lard and attended daily vaca tion Bible school with Kristi and Alan Bullard at the Owyhee Church. Amy Stradley trans ported a group each day to the Bible school. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Hopper and family of Ontario have pur chased the Tom Edmonson farm on Imperial Avenue known as the Ben Shaw farm. The Hop pers moved last week. The Edmonson’s moved to a new PHONE 372-2733 *■ home they purchased in Ontario on Verde Drive. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Norman and boys were dinner guests Sunday in the George Moeller home. Miss Jennifer Ure left Wed nesday with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Morris of Eureka, California for a two weeks visit. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Ure, Sr. of Mesa, Calif., left Tuesday for Rupert, Idaho after a weeks visit with Mr. and Mrs. Ira Ure, Jr. They came to attend the wedding of Bob Ure and Laura Schroeder in the Luthe ran Church in Vale, Saturday, June 17. The Arcadia club met June 16 at the home of Mrs. Neil Petter son. Ten members were pre sent. Roll call was answered by how they would like to spend their vacations. Mrs. Everett Edmonson was elected presi dent. Mrs. Clyde Bowers, vice- president and Mrs. Neil Petter son secretary-treasurer. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Ure, Jr. entertained June 16 with a smorgasbord on their patio after the wedding rehearsel of Bob Ure and Laura Schroeder. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Morris and family of Eureka, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs Ira Ur«, Sr. and Doria Jaan Ure from Mesa, Arixona; Ri chard Fouche of Bremerton, Wash.,; Larry and Garry Car penter of Madras; Mr. and Mrs. Charles McConnell of Corvallis; Gayle Kiwahara, Judy Drause and Marilee Scheer of Vale; Peggy Schallhorn of Ontario; Paula Downey Seymour, Indiana; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Eiler of Paletine, Illinois; The Rev. and Mrs. William Leurs of Nyssa; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Schroeder and family of Vale; Mr. and Mrs. John Dority, Nyssa; Mr. and Mrs. Don Brown, Weiser; and the Ure family.
