She is sharing a room with her daughter Opal Selby. Prior to entering the hospital she had been living with another dau ghter, Mr. and Mrs. JackSooter in Payette. * * ♦ Joe Maughn and Sam Hanby visited several residents last week. * • ♦ Mrs. Dessie Sullivan took her mother Constance Bumpasout for a while Tuesday. Gib Deffenbaugh took Bob Vin- sonhaler out twice last week. Mrs. Kate Willis has gone home to live with her sisters, Mrs. Ruth Cloniger and Mrs. Cleora Fisk. ARCADIA - Mr. and Mrs. Everett Edmonson spent the past weekend in Drewsey, Ore gon with their son, Richard and family and helped them move their cattle out to their summer range. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Smit of Napa, California visited with Mr. and Mrs. Otis Bullard re cently. Mrs. Smit was the former Berniece Fleming and was reared in the Arcadia area and will be remembered by many of the old timers. A group of six cub scouts met Tuesday, April 18 at the home of their leader, Mrs. Don Bullard, Mrs. Carl Barnes is her helper. With the Oregon Shakespear ean Festival’s third Spring sea son in its final week, some 45,000 regular patrons will soon receive the Festival’s Spring newsletter as part of special pre-sale of tickets for Associa tions members. The Festival’s 32nd summer season of plays will start June 17 with a special discounted preview week of performances in the outdoor Elizabethan stagehouse. The full series will get underway on June 24, following the traditional “Feast of the Tribe of Will” in Ash land’s Lithia Park. By the time the 1972 season ends on Sep tember 10, a total of 160 per formances will have been pre sented in both the outdoor stage house and the air-conditioned indoor Angus Bowmer Theatre. The special summer ticket presale is open to 1972 Fes tival Association members through April 30. By pur chasing tickets during this period, patrons get a valuable advance “jump” on seating which has traditionally been difficult to obtain later in the year. The general sale of summer season tickets starts on May 1, J972. Festival memberships are still available through the theatre’s central Ashland box Indian Rock Writings office. Full particulars on both memberships and perfor mances are available in the new 1972 summer season brochure. Sixteen colleges from Oregon Washington, Idaho and Montana are entering the competition. Those painted on the rocks are de signated as pictographs and those cut into the surface of the rock are called petroglyphs. The accompanying pictures are petroglyphs taken four years ago.
