, Thursday, October 21, 1971 The Nyssa Gate City Journal, Nyssa, O ogon ACTIVITIES IN ARCADIA BY AVO MOELLER * PHONE 372-2733 ARCADIA-Evertt Rhodes of Buhl Idaho visited his sister • Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stephensen ■ recently. < Mrs. Marvin Jenson and Mark ’ from Boise spent the weekend with her parents Mr. and Mrs Otis Bullard. ; Jim Johnson and Bob Olsen ; from Portland visited over the weekend in the George Moe ller home and enjoyed pheasant hunting here. Mr. and Mrs. Klaas Schenk ’ of Bend were visitors recently in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arrie Bakker. Arcadia club met Oct. 15 at the home of Mrs. Arrie Bakker eight members were present. Roll call was answe red by their favorite flower. Mrs. Ted Bowers drew the door prize, a flower arrangement. The women enjoyed seeing her beautiful chrysanthemum gar den. The next meeting will be Nov. 12 at the home of Mrs. Debra Draper—James Skousen United In Idaho Falls Temple George Moeller. Mr«. Dennii C indell and Todd spent the weekend in Boise with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Art Richardson, while Cindell at tended guards in Boise. Clifford Craft and a friend from Seattle are at the Clyde Bowers home while hunting phe asants here. Gary Moss who is in the navy is visiting his mother Mar- gar'te Moss. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Stradley of Oakridge and Carolyn Strad- ley of Bend visited last week with Gary and Mrs. Moss and with Amy Stradley. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Houston and Kelly of Weiser spent the weekend in the Cecil Houston home. Mr. andMrs. Kenneth Jackson of near Elko, Nevada visited at the Henry Carroll home one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Bullard and family of Portland arrived Monday at the Otis Bullard home for a week visit and to enjoy the hunting season. Tuesday the men hunted inHellsCa.nyon. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Davis of Hantingbeach, Calif., are visiting their parents Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Davis and other relatives here and doing some hunting. Edmond Butler of Warden, Wash., visited Monday after noon in the George Moeller and Otis Bullard homes. Pago Five Sgt. Ray Carroll, left last week for the air base at Wic hita, Kans., after a visit with his parents the Henry Carrolls. He was accompanied by his uncle Marvin Wood of Tulsa, Okla. Mr, Siminerson and son of Weiser have moved into Otis Bullard s tennant house that was vacated by Ron Woodie. Simmerson and his son are both employed at the sugar factory in Nyssa. The full skirt ¡of crystal satin featured appli ques of lace at the hemline. ;Her fingertip veil of bridal il lusion was held by a petalled She wore a brilliant yellow knit dress with a white rose corsage edged in blue. Rita Berret was maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Tawna Skousen, Donna Draper, Teddi Skousen and Terri Powell. They all wore empire styled gowns of bright yellow dotted swiss and each carried a long stemmed white rose edged in blue. Mothers of the bride and groom both wore sky blue knit dresses with a corsage of yel low roses. Clinton Kennington was best man with Jeff Skousen ushering the guests. Annie Crego was in charge of the guest book and Wendy Kennington and Chris Wyatt looked after the gifts.
