The international ties formed by our foreign ex change student program depend on a family opening their home and accepting the student as their own and the interest and support of the rest of the school and community. Yearly the Nyssa HighSchool student body raises close to $1000 for our share in continu ing this program. On his side of the program the student also pays. Family housing the stu dent receives is free gratus as they have no stipend or renumeration from the organi zation or school. When you think of the under standing and knowledge gained between the American people and other nationalities from this program you know the AFS program is an important step to world wide understanding. Once again we would like to thank the members of the com munity who provided housing for AFS students during the bus stop and for the community support of the program. Stephen B.
