Machines like those seen working here have finished moving a million cubic yards of material to grade the site for the huge new source of essential energy Idaho power Company will build jointly with Pacific Power & Light Com pany at an estimated cost of $300 million. Foundation excavation and building erection is due to start next springassoonas weather at the isolated and wind-swept desert site near the Continental Divide permits. Underway too as part of the project has been access road and railroad spur construction. The plant’s first 500,000-kilowatt unit is scheduled to go "on the line” in 1974 to supply Idaho Power customers. Three 345,000-volt transmission lines will tie the plant to the company’s system in eastern Idaho. They will visit his parents in Ogden on the way.
