JOB'S DAUGHTERS ACTIVITIES Miss Susan Kouns was in stalled as Honored Queen of Bethel 33, International Order of Job’s Daughters during a ceremony held Dec. 27 in the Masonic Hall. Susan is a daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Kouns. Prior to the installation rites, bethel officers marched into the room, signed her name to the guest book and formed a cross as Rev. J.D. Crego narrated the “Praying Hands Ceremony.” As the girls knelt in prayer Gary Condon sang “The Lord’s Prayer.” J<iv< ••• Jennings, retiring honored Queen served as in stalling officer for the evening. This year $88,552 is avail able, ascomparedtoonly$6,749 last year. Reimbursement of$l,488,037 on basic lunches, up from $1,458,142, completes the government’s appropriation for Oregon schools in the coming year. Couples Visit With Colorado Relatives Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Knowles and Mr. and Mrs. Scott Hiatt traveled to Colorado on Nov. 25. They visited Mrs. Knowles parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Knowles and other relatives at Ordway, Colo. While in Campo, Colo., the two couples visited many friends they hadn’t seen since they lived there some 30 years ago. They also helped celebrate the 60 Wedding Anni versary of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Peters, sister of the Knowles. There were five members of the Knowles family present.
