Her games were 201, 157, and a big 243. This is the first 600 series in two years in women’s play. In 1967 Kay Brendle rolled a 622 series, and Mabie has a 601. Friday’s game was won by Fruitland there, 61-57. Nyssa was behind 53-34 at the end of the 3rd quarter, but a last quarter surge was too little and too late. Greg Blanche was high scorer with 25 points, followed by Dave Wilson with 14 points, Manley 6, Martinez 2, Oldemeyer 2, Martin Elguezabal 2, John El- guezabal 2, Danford 2 and Frederickson 2. In Tuesday night’s game at Nyssa the Bulldogs led all the way after the first quarter and won 58-46. The Vikings defeated Idaho Southern 41-5 and Boise State, 21-5, Coach Wesley Christnesen said he was happy to win the two matches, especially the Boise match. “We both won five matches but we got more pins, giving us the victory,” Christensen said. The Vikings will be at home Saturday at 7:30 p.m., in the new gymnasium, the first home match of the season. Ricks will host the junior varsity from Idaho State University. Roy (Chipper) Burningham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Burn ingham of Nyssa, is wrestling in the 118 pound division. He won both of his matches against CS1 and Boise State and also pinned his man at ISU, Poca tello Idaho, Saturday, Dec. 13.
