MEAT BUYER COURSE SCHEDULED ADULT AG COURSES ^ NHS CALENDAR SET FOR TVCC Registrations are new being accepted for the correspon dence course, "You -- The Informed Meat Buyer,” Mrs. Helen Conner, Malheur County Extension Agent, reports. The course, scheduled to start Oct. 13, has been tailored to the needs of the young homemaker who needs all the information she can get to pro vide her family with whole some, high quality, properly- prepared meat at a cost that will fit into her budget. The lessons will also prove helpful to the more experienced home maker who would like a re fresher course in identifying cuts of meat, cooking methods suited to each, and recipes that will enhance selected cuts of beef, pork, lamb and poultry. Since meat accounts for at least 25% and sometimes as high as 40% of the family food bill, this should be an important course for area homemakers. Homemakers may call the Malheur County Extension of fice in Ontario at 889-9129 to add their names to the list of registrants. Michael Wahlert, son of the W.K.
