Mrs. Evans was a sister of the late Elmer Prosser. Mrs. Bud Mann and Mike ol Caldwell visited Aug. 24 with Mr. and Mrs. Chet Smith. Mr. and Mrs. John Pack wood are spending several days with Mr. and Mrs. George Fer guson at Rest Haven near Pine hurst, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Varner Hop kins returned the evening of Aug. 19 from a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hopkins and a short trip down the Oregon coast and back Ly Crater Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Bennett and Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ben nett of Roswell returned Aug. 19 from a vacation spent at Cas a » cade reservoir. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Smith of Cortez, Colo, spent Aug. 22 with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Noel Tuppeny enroute to Seattle, Wash. Mrs. Eric Mausllng left Aug. 22 for Grand Junction, Colo, where he was called due to the serious illness of her mother, Mrs. Effie Bradshaw. Mr. and Mrs. Darryl Seuell and Christy of Nampa arrived the evening of Aug. 22 to help celebrate Mrs. Ernest Seuell’s birthday anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Varner Hopkins attended the wedding of. their nephew, Charles at Castleford Saturday then drove to Gooding where they spent the weekend with the Hopkins clan. Dan Miller, Ronny Miller, Pat Corn, Bruce Ishida of Big Bend and Danny and Clyde Martin of Adrian and their FFA instructor, Joe Witty left Aug. 25 for the Oregon State Fair in Salem, where they will judge for FFA. Mr. and Mrs. James Mc- Ginnis attended a Hatch family picnic Aug. 24 at the Payette park. Mrs. Dyre Roberts, Mrs. Boyce Van Dewater and Elmer Wood attended the Aug. 19 fun eral services for Mrs. Minnie Tuning in Roswell. Wanda and Teresa Gregg of Longview, Wash., came to make their home with their uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Cart wright. Miss Linda Bishop left Aug. 25 for Grants Pass where she will teach again this year. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wood have as their guests this week, Larry and Robbie Wood of Nys sa. Mrs. Darrell English and Eleanor visited Aug. 24 with her father, Earl Clary at the Cald well Memorial hospital care center. Mr. and Mrs. Don Barbee of Boise spent Aug. 23 visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cartwright. Wanda and Teresa Gregg returned home with them to visit. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Miller and family attended an Aug 24 birth day party for Pat Stam of Owy hee Corners on his 5th birthday anniversary at the Louis Stam hone. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Byers and sons of Ontario spent Aug. 23 with Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Higgins. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Dennis and boys of Adrian picnicked and rock hunted Aug. 24 in Succor creek and canyon. Mr. and Mrs. Garlan Combs, Ernie Ray of Taneyville, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Libern Combs and son of Lousiana, Mrs. Mary Wood of Parma were Aug. 20 dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wood. Miss Bobbi Abbott enter tained Aug. 24 with a slumber party for four of her class mates. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hawks of Nampa spent Aug. 24 with Mr. and Mrs. Noel Tuppeny. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wood, Robi and Larry, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Bennett were Aug. 24 dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wood in Marsing. Mr. and Mrs. Mates Sillonis attended the 5th reunion banquet Aug. 23 for the Nyssa high PAGE THREE school class of 1964. The ban quet was held at the Eagles Lodge in Nyssa and the Aug. 24 picnic was heldat the school. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Ben nett, Leroy Bennett, Alan Ben nett and family attended a fam ily picnic Aug. 24 in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Stubble field at Parma. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Bennett and family joined the group later in the evening. Mr. and Mrs. James Hol lingsworth and daughters of Boise came Aug. 24 to visit Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Higgins and to get their son Bobby who had been visiting the Higgins. Mr. and Mrs. Shorty Hall and Jim also called on the Higgins. Mr. and Mrs. Mates Sillonis have been visiting relatives in the Muri Burns home in Nyssa this past week. Guests were Mr. and Mrs.CarlSwanson,Detroit, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Brolin, Merle Smith of Orants Pass, and her brother Dick Burns of Ketchikan, Alaska.
