CHILD Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hailing Nelson of Corinne, Utah announce the July 1, 1969 marriage of their daughter, Jeanette, to Andrew Julian Child, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Edison Child of Nyssa. The bride is a graduate of Box Elder high school and LDS seminary in Brigham City, Utah. She was also graduated from Utah State university in Logan, with a degree in art and English. She taught school for one year in Austin, Nev. Her husband is a graduate of Nyssa high school where he was active in the Future Farmers of America chapter, the debate team, football and wrestling activities. He served an LDS mission to Argentina and also attended USU. He is currently employed by the Craford Insurance company in Reno, Nev., where the newlyweds plan to make their home. BOB STEEL Miss Debbie Davis became the bride of Bob Steel in an evening wedding ceremony per formed Sunday, June 8, 1969 at Nyssa First Christian church. Parents of the newlyweds are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Quinn of route 2, Nyssa, Mr. and Mrs. John Steel of route 3, Parma. In the presence of 100 guests, the double-ring rites were per formed by the Rev. Roy L. Titus, with traditional music provided by Mrs. Elvin Ballou. Escorted to the altar by her father, Miss Davis was attired in a floor-length gown of white velvet and lace coat, trimmed with pearls and sequins. She mum bouquets. Sheldon Mills was flower girl, with Shawn Mills attending as ringbearer. Harvey Booth served as best man, while ushers were Lloyd Condron and Robert Quinn. For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Quinn was dressed in a blue-flowered white-linen en semble, with white accessories. The bridegroom’s mother wore a yellow lace dress and matching accessories. Each wore a corsage of pink roses. A four-tier cake, decorated with greenery and chrysanthe mums at the base, centered the refreshment table at a recep tion held, following the cere mony, in the church basement. Serving as hostesses were Mrs. Ralph Quinn and Mrs. Ron Mills. Among out-of-area guests were Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Mil lage of Sunnyvale, Calif., Mrs. C. E. Sales of New Plymouth, Miss Anna Marie Koch and John Koch of Nampa; Mr. and Mrs. Armando Ruiz, Mrs. Wilma Davis and Mrs. Myrtle Hooten of Boise.
