Main St. Ph. 372-2285 Graveside rites for Douglas Carl Hoden, 22, were conducted Thursday afternoon, June 19, - 1969 at the Owyhee cemetery under direction of Llenkaemper chapel. Officiating was Bishop Farrell G. Peterson of Nyssa second ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mr. Hoden died on the pre vious Tuesday from injuries sustained in a head-on auto col lision near Nyssa. He was born Feb. 6, 1947 at Torrington, Conn., and at tended school at Reno, Nev. and Adrian, Ore. The deceased is survived by his father, Chester Hoden; his mother, Mrs. Mary Atkinson; and two sisters,Cindy and Tam my Hoden, all of Reno. CHARLES BABB SUNSET VALLEY — Word was recently received of the June 6, 1969 death of Charles Babb in San Jose, Calif. His widow is the former Dorothy Wolfe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Wolfe who at one time owned a farm In this area. LDS Road Show Final results of the seven road shows performed June 20 and 21 at the Nyssa LDS Stake house are Nyssa second ward, first, with a show titled “Can You Imagine Living in a Haunted House?” written and directed by Dorothy Moore. Second place went to Ontario second ward. Their title was FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH NOTES The summer worship sche dule at Faith Lutheran church will continue throughout June, July and August, it is announ ced by Pastor Orville Jacob son. At 8 o’clock each Thursday evening, a worship service is conducted at Faith Lutheran for church members and others of the community who might be gone during the weekend. These services are identi cal to those presented at 10:30 a.m. on the following Sundays. “Can You Imagine No Star in Tele-Star,” written by Grace Nelson and directed by Wayne Phillips and Grace Nelson. “Can You Imagine A Fork in the Road” was the title of the show presented by Vale ward, which took third place. It was written by Joan Reeder and directed by Marilyn Al- dred. These shows each told a story through dance, music and drama. Robert Manley of Nyssa Church of the Nazarene. Organist was Karen Calvin, with vocal selections by Rose Mary Martin. Miss Clarkson, 22, suc cumbed of injuries sustained in a two-car automobile acci dent on highways 20-26-201 north of Nyssa on the previous Wednesday evening. She was born Nov. 27, 1946 at Nyssa, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Clarkson, attended local elementary, junior high and senior high schools. She was graduated from Nyssa high school in 1965, was a 1967 graduate of Treasure Valley Community College and had stu died for two years at North west Nazarene college in Nam pa.
