Another elec tion May 5 you say? What for? School board trustees and bud gets, eh? Well, well, who’s runnin’? Two men for Ontario 8C eh? And only one new cand idate for the college board with five posts to be filled, eh? And all five of them fellers on the board now are runnin’ agin, eh? Two of the original board members, Dr. Easley and Joe Saito for 4 year terms, eh? And you say that they all helped appoint the other three fellers- Turner and Seuell for the two year terms and Ball for the one-year term, eh? Who did you say that new feller is runnin’? Wilton Jackson of Nyssa, eh? ■PICNIC HOULDER including Boise, Nampa, Nyssa, Weiser and Union. A variety of dances will be performed. Among them will be western folk, all girls’, American ballroom and Latin dances. There will be no admission charge and the public is cordially invited to attend. - Photos by Melvin Cottrell. Well, well - no, I aint been payin’ much attention what with income tax and surtax 'n all. You say this college budget makes it a three million dol lar business now? My, my, it sure has growed. 1025 students expected for next year, eh? Well, say, that’s 3 thousand dollars a student, ain’t it? Yeah, I can see where those trustee fellers have a big re sponsibility. Gosh, it ’pears as how there oughtta be more interest in takin’ care of all that money. Three million takes alotta taxes, yes siree. Guess we oughta write in the names of a few more people so as folks git the idea of runnin' for those jobs the next year. Spark it up a bit, eh what? It shore seems these oughta be a lot more interest in all that money. You know somethin’ - I’m just gonna write in some extra names jest to get folks to thinkin’. Yes siree, I reckon it oughta make this election a heap more interestin’ - Yes sir. - Ole Slow Poke Me - Mrs. John J. Turner, Ontario.
