O Red Heads Bow To faculty In 73-72 Tilt NOTICE FOR BUDGET MEETING The Nyssa faculty team inched past the All-America Red Heads in a 73-72 basket ball tilt on March 10 in the Nyssa high school gym. Leading most of the game, the Red Heads demonstrated their accurate shooting ability and ball control. The Red Heads are the world champion girls professional basketball team. They come from throughout the United States and range in heights of five-feet, six inches to six- feet, three inches. Ralph Aldrich led both teams in scoring by canning 28 points. He was followed by two of the Red Heads, Jolene Ammons and Pam NcAnnally with 23 and 20, respectively. Other faculty players who scored were Dan Martin, 16; Tom Neel, 14, Charles Newkirk, 8; Gerald Talbot, 3; Gary Jasper and Den nis Savage, 2 each. Durhing halftime the Red Heads provided entertainment by performing various basket ball tricks. - Jim Beck, NHS Bulldog reporter. Nyssa Junior Bowlers Earn Region Honors State of Oregon County of Malheur School District No. 26 Home From Hospital Mrs. Margaret Martinez of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., arrived on the afternoon of March 5 by air from Reno where Mrs. Maxine Warner took over and brought her to Nyssa by auto. Mrs. Martinez is a daughter of Mrs. Fannie E. Corey. Her arrival made it possible to take Mrs. Corey to her home on the Snake river south of Nyssa, after a stay of several months in Malheur Memorial hospital. Mrs. Martinez plans to re main for about two weeks. Mrs. Warner is visiting a sister, Mrs. Ed Bates and her mother, Mrs. Pitkin at Vale. Mrs.Corey is continuing to show gradual improvement and reports she is most happy to be home.
