The Nyssa lads were far be hind until the last quarter when they registered 19 points. In the first period, 9 points were scored; second, 20 counters and third, 21. The NHS high-point man was Larry Wilson with 16. Craig Lewis and Dave Wilson were second high with 14 counters each. Others helping the Bull dogs add points were Rick Wil son, 9; Jim Beck, 6; Ed Jef fers and John Shell, 4 each; Dave Manley, 2. Starting off hot with 10-3 in the first four minutes, the Bulldogs increased their lead to a half-time score of 20-11. By the thirdperiod, they were at 29, leaving the Pirates be hind with 14. Maintaining their margin in the last segment, the Bulldogs gained a final tally of 40-22. High-point man Keith Olde- meyer contributed 9 counters, with Dave Manley following with 7. NHS Hoopsters Bow To Weiser The Weiser Wolverines hand ed Nyssa its eighth league loss in a Feb. 4 outing on the Nyssa floor. Final score for the SRV A-1 basketball contest was 67- 53. At the end of the contest, the NHS Bulldogs held a 2-11 overall record, with 0-8 in league play. Weiser’s stand ing was 5-3 in league and 8- 6 overall. Top scorer for the NHS squad was Craig Lewis, who pumped in 20 counters.
