According to Pro Keith Stan wood, the clubhouse will be closed after Oct. 31 this year. He announces thit he and the city officials would like every one to take their clubs home and clean out their lockers prior to the end of the season. Stanwood also announces that as in the past, the course will be open for play during the off season, however the use of motorized carts will be pro hibited. New grass will be planted this fall and in the spring, so in order to give it every chance to grow, city officials and golt association board members an nounce that motor carts will be banned during the months of March and April 1969. Ex ceptions may be made by the pro with medical certificates. It is also announced that all fairway sandtraps will be con verted to bunker type grass hazards, except possibly the one at the corner of No. 15. Primary reason for the change is con sidering the high cost of proper maintenance versus their actual value to the course layout.
