While there, children of the Baxters. they celebrated Brenda’s first Julian Stohler recently birthday anniversary. returned home after spending Mr. and Mrs. Gary Heap and two weeks at the Veteran’s hospital for treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Parr of Rupert, were recent visitors in the Ralph Baxter home. Mrs. Jack McIntyre and children of Ontario spent a re cent afternoon with the Alden Bryans. Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Howard, parents of Roy Howard, left early May 27 for their home at Magna, Utah after a three- week visit. Opal Leavitt arrived from Milwaukie, Ore., May 24 to spend Memorial weekend with Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Unwin. The Pinetoppers of McCall, a modern and western band, played Saturday evening for a dance at the LDS tabernacle in Boise. After the dance, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Otto, members of the band, stayed overnight with his mother, Mr. and Mrs. Alden Bryan. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Baxter, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dargatz spent May 23 at Lake Wallowa and Joseph, Oregon. All returned to their homes except the Dargatz family who will leave soon to tour the west coast enroute home to Ventura, Calif. Foe Installation Rites Set Saturday Joint installation rites for Eagles aerie and auxiliary officers will be held Saturday evening, June 1 at the Nyssa FOE hall. The ceremony, slated to begin at 9 p.m., will be open to the public. __ APPlJi VALLEY <»»»BY FRANCES SMALLEY APPLE VALLEY - Mrs. Earl Boston spent May 23 visiting in the Robert Shippy home at Payette. It was a special day for Nancy Shippy who was cele brating a birthday anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Plagman recently visited friends in this community. They expect to be back again after they visit Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Arnold in Denver, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Saun ders visited on the evening of May 24 with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Langley of rural Nyssa. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rookstool attended recent kindergarten graduation exercises for Scott Eden. The rites were held in the Nyssa LDS church for Mrs. Ida Moncurs students. Mrs. Rookstool also attended exer cises for Kimberly Rookstool’s graduation from Mrs. Dorothea Mitchell’s tiny students held on May 24 at the LDS church.
