MINUTES OF THE MALHEUR COUNTY COURT MEETING - NOVEMBER 1, 1967 The meeting came to order with Commissioners Jacob Fischer and E. W. Maag present. Granted a Beer License to Looney’s Shopping Center, Adrian, Oregon. The County Court signed an agreement by and between the State of Oregon, Malheur County and the city of Jordan Valley, pertaining to federal matching funds for Outdoor recreation on the Jordan Valley city park development. County Court refused to participate in the Hill Family Foundation, as presented by the Mental Health Health Program. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Thompson and son of Heppner are visiting in the Cornelius Barton and Herschel Thompson homes. A family Christmas dinner was served in the Thompson home. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Walters of Boise were Saturday overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Al Thompson. Saturday afternoon callers at the Herschel Thompson home were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Thomp son, Mr. and Mrs. Stan Thomp son and girls of Pendleton, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Thompson and family of Ontario. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Begeman attended a Van deWater family Christmas dinner held at the Ray Bow-n home in Nampa. They were accompanied home by Carl’s brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Begeman of Phillipsburg, Kans. They will visit several days in the Bege man home. They had been visiting Mrs. Louis Begeman’s brother, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fogleman in Nampa. The Fogle- mans are former residents of this community. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nedrow were Christmas dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Brown and family of the Oregon Trail area. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Walters of Nyssa were last Thursday evening visitors in the Nedrow home. Saturday evening guests at the Jim Phifer home were the Ken- neth Price and Carl Lee Hili families. Bob and Dave Petty arrived horn»- Dec. 20. They got a plane to Sacramento from Texas, went by train to Winnemucca, and hitch biked from there to Cald well where they caught a bus to a cafe owned by their mother, Mrs. Ruth Sant near Ontario. Bob found a car he had left had been stolen, and was found by police in Payette, lthadbeen wrecked. Mrs. Walter Pinkston, Bob and Dave Petty, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Pinkston of Parma were guests at a family Christmas party at the Mrs. Ruth Sant home. Christmas dinner guests at the Klaas Laan home were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Laan and family of Parma and the latter’s brother, Mr. and Mrs. Case Visser from Holland, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Martin and daugh ter of Moscow, Ida. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Ashcraft were Christmas dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ashcraft in Adrian. Mrs. Dale Ashcraft recently entertained members of the Koffee Klutch. Guests were Mmes.
