Seventy head of Angus, Short horn and Hereford bulls between the ages of 16 - 30 months, have been consigned by Idaho and Oregon purebred cattle growers. Allen stated that commercial cattle growers have become more interested in the Western Idaho bull sale since the bulls are of high quality and will add size and uniformity to their beef herds. He pointed out that cattle feeders are rapidly be coming more and more effi cient in their operations of finishing cattle for slaughter; but at the same time, they are becoming more selective in making their purchases of feeder cattle by placing more emphasis on quality, which is also part of the cattle improve ment program of the IdahoCat- tlemen's association. The Association Bull Sales have long been established as being the most reliable place for both the small or large operator to buy replacement animals. The sale on November 17 will be held at theCattleman’s Live stock Auction, at Karcher junc tion, Nampa, for the first time. Also, Friday is a new sale day for the Idaho Cattlemen’s As sociation sale and the Western Idaho range bull sale will pre sent an excellent group of bulls that will not be highly show fitted, halter broke nor pam pered like show cattle. The bulls will be brought to the Cattle man’s Livestock Auction Fri day morning, Nov. 17, where they will be inspected and sifted for soundness and quality by Wade Wells, Boise, University of Idaho Animal Husbandman; Albert Wolfkiel, Purebred Cat tle Breeder, Meridian; and Duane Brent, Commercial Cat tleman from Weiser.
