Movie Actor Keports On Houston's Condition By Avo Moeller ARC ADIA - The Cecil Hous tons received a telephone call last week from Movie Actor Charlton Heston in California. He had just returned from Vietnam and had visited the couple’s son, Jim Houston who suffered recent injuries and was in the 93rd Evacuation Center. Heston said Jim was apparently recovering nicely. Arcadia club members will meet Friday, Oct. 13 at the home of Mrs. C. R. Kesler Sr. on Gem avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Evert- ton and girls of Nampa visited Sept. 30 with Mr. and Mrs. Parley Feik. Cecil Houston returned home Sept. 29 from Spring Valley, PAGE THREE Nvssan In Choir More than 350 students and faculty memt«rs of Ricks Col lege sang at the recent quart erly conference of theChurchof Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Uke City. The combined choir was dir ected by fir. Chester Hili, head of Ricks’ music department. The special choir was formed this fall when the college was invited to send a singing group to the semi-annual conference which is broadcast and televised throughout the United States and in some foreign countries. Among those singing with the choir was Gwen Nelson, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Devere Nelson of Nyssa. Wash., where tie visited Mr. and Mrs. Harold Houston. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Steph enson visited Sept. 30 with the Art Richardsons in Boise. Mr. and Mrs. John Zitter- cob recent went to Blackfoot, Idaho to visit Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Stevens. They were ac companied by Mrs. Emma Thompson of Emmett. She is Mrs. Stevens* mother. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Bowers of Ontario visited on the even ing of Oct. 1 with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Houston. G. F. Garren and grandson, Bob Roper of Kimberly re cently spent several days with Hie John Seburns. Visitor Honored Doyle Carroll of Kellogg, Miss Glenda Brown of New Idaho recently spent two days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. York City, who has been visit ing her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Carroll. Glenn Brown and family of rural Nyssa, was guest of honor at an Oct. 8 dinner with friends and relatives as other guests. Those present were her sis ter, Colleen and tier brother, Timmie; Mr. and Mrs. Willis Conant of Kingman Kolony, Mrs. Lester Stacy and girls of Parma; Mrs. Richard Conant and sons of Nampa, Mrs. Al berta Morrow, Henry and Ro berta of Nyssa. While in the area, Glenda attended her NHSclass reunion. r Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Sager recently returned home from their ‘honey-run’.
