THURSDAY, JUNE 15, 1957 THE NYSSA GATE CITY JOURNAL, NYSSA, OREGON PAGE THREE Tumbling Classes (Aiming Event» Greg Duff, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Ixiff of Nyssa and a 1963 graduate of Nyssa High school recently signed a Nation al Football league agreement to play with the Chicago Bears. H e is to report to rookie camp June 11 along with 30 other rookies. Greg played two years of foot ball at Nyssa with Hob Morford as coach. He then attended Boise (Jr.) college for two years. In the Spring of 1965 he trans ferred to Idaho State un'versity in Pocatello, on a full tuition scholarship. He is married to the former Kathy Caskey of Boise and has a one and one lialf year old daughter, Kelly. Greg plans to be a high school coach and teacher after a career in professional football. L. Me- Part land. The sessions will be part of an in-service for elementary teachers to be conducted at the primary school building that week, with instruction by Bonnie House and Superintendent Mc- Partland. The sessions will •tart at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. each and up to 30 students will be needed for each session for demonstration purposes. Parents who would like their children to learn tumbling should call 372-3597 and reg ister. Tills should be a week of fun and experience for both the youngsters and the teachers who will learn the healthful art of tumbling. Douglas A. Curry On Vietnam Duty Sp/4 Douglas A. Curry was assigned May 25 to the 135th heavy equipment maintenance company near Camp Ranh Bay, Vietnam, according to an Army news release. The soldier-mechanic enter ed the Army in December 1965 and was last stationed in Ger many. He Is a son of Odles M. Curry of route 2, Brownwood, Texas; and Mrs. Elmyra A. Curry of Milton, Wash. His wife, Ella, resides in Nyssa. McCrady On Leave Mrs. William Shireman en tertained 50 guests at a 10 a.m. until noon coffee hour on May 25 in her garden. The event is an annual a- ffair where friends visit with friends and make new acquain tances.
